Section 504 of ADA

Students who have any long or short-term disabilities that negatively impact their education according to data, may qualify for a general education support known as a 504 Plan. A 504 provides accommodations for students with a written, legally binding Accommadation Plan.

A 504 may be suggested by a parent, an SST, or a teacher. If a student qualifies for a 504, a meeting is held to determine eligibility and develop an Accommodation Plan which must be revisited at least annually.
