The signature page must be completed no later than March 24th for TK-2nd grade students and March 26th for 3rd-5th grade students.

Welcome to Walnut Acres. We are a dynamic learning community focused on preparing our children for leadership and success in the 21st Century. The application period for TK-5th grade transfers is February 10th - March 10th. For students entering grades TK-5 whose families want to request a school other than their resident school please CLICK for transfers.

If you have a student entering 6th grade in the fall the transfer application period has already passed. Late applications are being accepted at this LINK.

Please read the instructions below before making any appointments.
Please do not complete the online enrollment if you meet one of these conditions.
Your student:

was enrolled in one of our schools previously even if they did not attend
-
received services such as speech or OT
-
received assessment services

Registration Packet
You will need to obtain a packet of forms as part of the registration process by either:

Downloading the files HERE or
-
Picking up paper copies at the school office.
Steps to register your student

Obtain the registration packet as noted above

Gather the necessary documents (see below)

Pre-register or enroll online HERE through our district AIR online enrollment link.

Print and/or save a copy for your records

You may upload the required documents during the enrollment process (from the packet and those listed below)

How to submit your documents
The school office needs all of your documents prior to your registration appointment. There are a few ways to get them to us.

Upload all documents to your AIR online enrollment.

Email all documents to Walnut Acres’ office clerk, Yvonne Ortega at ortegay@mdusd.org.

Bring all documents, bundled together (a large envelope would be best) and clearly marked with your student’s name, to the school office.

Kindergarten Inventory - if student is entering TK/K

(The medical and dental exam forms included in the packet are due after March 1st, 2021.)

Printout/copy of online enrollment

Copy of Parent’s photo ID

Copy of student’s birth certificate or passport

Copy of student’s complete immunization records

Copy of two proof of residency documents - see below
Acceptable Address Verification Documents
Two of the following:

current valid vehicle registration
-
state or federal tax return filed within the last 12 months with W-2 form(s) attached

current voter registration receipt
-
other forms of identification or communication from a government agency
-
property tax bill with parent name and property address indicating homeowners exemption
-
lease/rental agreement (including property address, names of occupants, name and phone number of owner/manager)
-
payroll stubs/checks
Please note:
We must have all required documents before your appointment. Incomplete paperwork and/or immunizations will not be accepted.

To make a registration appointment for TK - 5th Grades please call the office at (925) 939-1333.

We will go over all of your paperwork to make sure it is complete. Missing or incomplete paperwork will result in a delay in your student’s enrollment.
Missing or incorrect address verification documents will cause a delay in your student’s registration.
